sai -the magical word which has enthused in millions a faith which is unshakable , impenetrable.
A fakir who came about roaming to the village of Shirdi is revered by an ever increasing number of devotees.
Apart from his lifestory which mainly revolved about alleviation of the suffering multitudes who came to him , there are quite a few uniquenesses attributed to him.
The first is the form of his worship. While externally it may take the normal course of rituals , it has a very peculiar effect on the mind and soul.
As any one walks one step towards him ,there and then he undergoes an internal and exotic feeling of proximity to the almighty.
His devout and pure lovers donot worship His idols ,maybe they don't even worship the saintly figure who descended on earth and was entitled by his contemporaries as sai , they worship 'their baba , their sainath ,their deva ,their sainath maharaj '.

The word baba is an outflow of pure love , is an exhibit of firm faith , of trust .
You donot pray to him , you  make him an equal partner of your life , your own self , rather slowly and steadily merging himself into you and yourself into him.
The love between him him and his devotee is such that can be understood only by his devotee who starts confiding before him , shedding tears before him and even laughing and playing with him .
Not only in the sorrows when he is the sole refuge , even in joy you cannot bear to part with him.
The symbols of worldly relations , because , start evaporating .
You donot worship him because...........,but only for worshipping , only for the divine pleasure that arises on bowing at his holy feet , at accepting and rejoicing in his slavery.
Every devotee discovers Baba in his own way and Baba is kind enough to bestow each one of his devotee with a treasure full of singular occurences for him to cherish . Rather it his way to say"how special you are to me and will always remain'.
His divine bliss is experienced not once but repeatedly and not in ways one would normally associate spiritual upliftments.
Rather he is so generous to take care of the pittiest needs and wishes of his devotee and fulfill them so that beyond one's ability to collect all the jewels he has given especially to us . From an atheists point of  view they maybe mere ci incidences , but then these pearls are only for a lover to know.
BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO FELT AND BATHED IN THIS DIVINE PROXIMITY AND OVERFLOW OF LOVE.
